Couples / Partner Massage Lesson

Couples / Partner Massage Lesson

New from On Your Mark NYC, learn how to massage your spouse or partner by taking one of our massage lessons with Krystal and Mark. In this fun and interactive lesson, you will learn the very basics of massage. We focus on helping participants create a safe, supportive and informed massage experience for all involved.

If you've ever tried giving a massage but got tired after a few minutes, this lesson can teach you how to use your body in ways that increase leverage and reduce strain while providing massage. If you've ever received a shoulder or foot massage from a partner or friend that was either painful or unhelpful, this lesson can help you give supportive feedback to enhance the experience. If you've ever given a massage but felt unsure if you were doing it wrong or didn't know how it really felt to the recipient, this lesson will give you the knowledge and confidence you need to be more effective and safe.

Sessions last for 90 minutes and are $240. Please call us or email us to schedule this service.

What to Expect / What You Will Learn

  • The principals and practical application of massage: intuition, presence, intention, confidence and knowledge.

  • How to perform basic massage techniques in a way that is both safe for recipients and comfortable for those providing massage.

  • Proper body mechanics for those giving and comfortable positioning for those receiving.

  • A variety of techniques to apply in different settings such as sitting, laying down on the floor or in a bed and using a massage table.

  • A handout explaining and reviewing what you learned and how to apply it safely and effectively.
